Scope of works.
The Bancroft and Wickford development focuses on creating 33 new affordable homes across two sites, incorporating community spaces, sustainable energy solutions, and improved public areas. The development is a key regeneration project in Tower Hamlets, transforming two existing sites: the Bancroft TMC building and Wickford Street garages. The redevelopment delivers two new buildings
featuring both community and residential spaces:
- Site 1 - will host a part-two, part-three, and part-six-storey building. The lower floors are designated for community and office use, while the upper floors will provide 15 residential units. This site also includes private amenity areas, cycle parking, and waste management facilities.
- Site 2 - will include a part-three and part-five storey building with 18 residential units. It will offer private amenity areas, cycle parking, blue badge car parking (including three new and one replacement accessible bays), and waste management facilities.
The project also involves community engagement, with new facilities for the Tenant Management Organisation and community groups like the Women's Inclusive Team, aiming to enhance local engagement and services.
