Project Manager


Job Purpose

Formation Design & Build Ltd is a main contractor in the construction industry and has a strategy to significantly grow in the next 3 years. The business has successfully secured a significant amount and of contracts and the growth is on target. Due to this growth there is now a requirement for a Project Manager.

As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and overseeing various construction projects from initiation to completion. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, while ensuring that the highest quality standards and safety protocols are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Estimate project costs and develop detailed budgets.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, resolving any conflicts that may arise.

Quality and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure that construction activities comply with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize accidents and hazards on-site.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections to uphold construction standards.

Client Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing regular project updates.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a successful track record of managing construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
